I don’t blame people in the west  but corporate media like BBC-CNN-FOX NEWS, FR 24, ITV/CH 4-SKY-EURO NEWS, ITV- that those murdered by Trump's expeditionary forces in the last few days, were those most responsible for the destruction of the Bolton/ Saudi-inspired terrorists like ISIS / DAESH/.......

Facebook Tyrant
I saw a post about remembering the US shoot down of the Iranian airliner (Iran Air Flight 655) in 1988, and Facebook had a flag warning that it was "fake news" MOUTHPIECE OF Pentagon
Facebook is a protector and preserver of the propaganda classifying IR Iran as a dangerous terrorist organization. But FB knows well, that USA is the biggest terrorist country in the world. USA invades other countries just to own their natural resources and to place them in the hands of American corporations. Facebook doesn't call that terrorism. They call it democracy. Leave FB

FB is marking this as "partly false information, checked by independent fact checkers" and then linking to some Spanish language fact checking site named "Observador" which ranks the post at the upper end of their "deceiver" scale based on the site's analysis asserting that the US in reality apologised, while ignoring the fact that all military personnel involved were decorated for their actions in taking down the plane.

The site, by the way, contains almost no information about where it is bases, how it is funded, or other information which relates to its own credibility. Conclusion: Partly false

The information in this post is a mix of true and false statements or it could simply be incomplete. In some cases, the information is misleading.

In response to Donald Trump's comment, President of Iran recalls the day the US eliminated a plane with 290 people on board, including 66 children. Killers were awarded:Trump’s Shameless Murder of Soleimani Will Kill Thousands of US Troops — By Suicide Each and every day, an average of 20 American veterans take their own lives. The standard diagnosis is PTSD. But that catch-all label conceals the deeper reality: The biggest single factor driving veteran depression, alcoholism, drug addiction, and suicide is shame. Veterans know that US attacks against Afghanistan, Iraq, and now Iran are unjust. They have seen, and in some cases participated in, horrifically immoral behavior. Invading someone else’s country is the supreme war crime, the worst crime that a human being can commit according to the Nuremburg Principles, and it encompasses and leads to all of the lesser war crimes. Our veterans know, consciously or unconsciously, that they are war criminals. That is why so many are executing themselves. https://kevinbarrett.heresycentral.is/2020/01/trump-suicide/?fbclid=IwAR3vBDaLzMsrR2aQpd4Kzw72hnHxlhoHZ2LQhLhB-qvRcEcJYoCdPr_j2pE

“The law of unintended consequences” Blowback From The Soleimani Assassination Increases As Iraq Reveals How Trump Tried To Steal Its Oil The blowback from Trump’s assassination of Major General Qassem Soleimani and PMU leader Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis is increasing.  A scandal is developing as one consequence of Trump’s evil deed after Iraq’s Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi revealed the gangster methods U.S. President Trump used in his attempts to steal Iraq’s oil. Below we follow today’s development.
The mourning for the assassinated Iranian Major General Qassem Soleimani unfortunately caused even more suffering:
A stampede broke out Tuesday at a funeral for a top Iranian general killed in a U.S. airstrike, and at least 56 people were killed and more than 200 were injured as thousands thronged the procession, Iranian news reports said.
The stampede took place in Kerman, the hometown of Revolutionary Guard Gen. Qassem Soleimani, as the procession began, said the semi-official Fars and ISNA news agencies, citing Pirhossein Koulivand, head of Iran’s emergency medical services.

Lies, the Bethlehem Doctrine & the Illegal Murder of Soleimani  By Craig Murray
CraigMurray.org.uk
In one of the series of blatant lies the U.S. has told to justify the assassination of Iranian Major General Qassem Soleimani, U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said that Soleimani was killed because he was planning “imminent attacks” on U.S. citizens. It is a careful choice of word. Pompeo is specifically referring to the Bethlehem Doctrine of Pre-Emptive Self Defence.
Developed by Daniel Bethlehem when legal adviser to first Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government and then U.K. Prime Minister Tony Blair, the Bethlehem Doctrine says states have a right of “pre-emptive self-defence” against “imminent” attack. That is something most people, and most international law experts and judges, would accept. Including me. https://consortiumnews.com/2020/01/09/lies-the-bethlehem-doctrine-the-illegal-murder-of-soleimani/?fbclid=IwAR2nhskd-JFjec-4GAiP0gmg4lN3vLNF_dnp2Kpa1uekoe1FiwCseufWmcA

"In one of the series of blatant lies the U.S. has told to justify the assassination of Iranian Major General Qassem Soleimani, U.S.
What very few people, and almost no international lawyers, accept is the key to the Bethlehem Doctrine — that here “imminent,”the word used so carefully by Pompeo — does not need to have its normal meanings of either “soon” or “about to happen.” An attack may be deemed “imminent,” according to the Bethlehem Doctrine, even if you know no details of it or when it might occur. So you may be assassinated by a drone or bomb strike — and the doctrine was specifically developed to justify such strikes — because of “intelligence” that indicates you are engaged in a plot, when that intelligence neither says what the plot is nor when it might occur. Or even more tenuous, because there is intelligence saying you have engaged in a plot before, so it is reasonable to kill you in case you do so again.
Drone “pilots” launch an MQ-1 Predator unmanned aerial vehicle for a raid in the Middle East. (U.S. military)
I am not inventing the Bethlehem Doctrine. It has been the formal legal justification for drone strikes and targeted assassinations by the Israeli, U.S. and U.K. governments for a decade. Here it is in academic paper form, published by Bethlehem after he left government service (the form in which it is adopted by the U.S., U.K. and Israeli governments is classified information).
Twisting the Meaning of ‘Imminent’
So, when Pompeo says attacks by Soleimani were “imminent” he is not using the word in the normal sense in the English language. It is no use asking him what, where or when these “imminent” attacks were planned to be. He is referencing the Bethlehem Doctrine under which you can kill people on the basis of a feeling that they may have been about to do something.
The idea that killing an individual who you have received information is going to attack you, but you do not know when, where or how, can be justified as self-defence, has not gained widespread acceptance — or indeed virtually any acceptance — in legal circles outside the ranks of the most extreme devoted neo-conservatives and Zionists. Daniel Bethlehem became the U.K.’s Foreign and Commonwealth Office’s chief legal adviser, brought in by Jack Straw, precisely because every single one of the FCO’s existing legal advisers believed the Iraq War to be illegal. In 2004, when the House of Commons was considering the legality of the war on Iraq, Bethlehem produced a remarkable paper for consideration, which said that it was legal because the courts and existing law were wrong, a defense which has seldom succeeded in court.
(b)
“following this line, I am also of the view that the wider principles of the law on self-defence also require closer scrutiny. I am not persuaded that the approach of doctrinal purity reflected in the Judgments of the International Court of Justice in this area provide a helpful edifice on which a coherent legal regime, able to address the exigencies of contemporary international life and discourage resort to unilateral action, is easily crafted;”
The key was that the concept of “imminent” was to change:
The concept of what constitutes an “imminent” armed attack will develop to meet new circumstances and new threats." https://consortiumnews.com/2020/01/09/lies-the-bethlehem-doctrine-the-illegal-murder-of-soleimani/?fbclid=IwAR2nhskd-JFjec-4GAiP0gmg4lN3vLNF_dnp2Kpa1uekoe1FiwCseufWmcA

U.S. Regime Has Killed 20-30 Million People Since World War II After the catastrophic attacks of September 11 2001 monumental sorrow and a feeling of desperate and understandable anger began to permeate the American psyche. A few people at that time attempted to promote a balanced perspective by pointing out that the United States had also been responsible for causing those same feelings in people in other nations, but they produced hardly a ripple. Although Americans understand in the abstract the wisdom of people around the world empathizing with the suffering of one another, such a reminder of wrongs committed by our nation got little hearing and was soon overshadowed by an accelerated “war on terrorism.”  https://www.globalresearch.ca/u-s-regime-has-killed-20-30-million-people-since-world-war-ii/5633111

When “millions” of Iranians come out to mourn the death of General Soleimani and pay respect, the US media (even the trusted, progressive” NPR) continues to repeat “thousands”.
This is wrong by 3 orders of magnitude
Even from this minor example, one can extrapolate the degree of trust worthiness of the American news media.

Kimberly Ann Todd "On this episode of Going Underground, we speak to the former Israeli ambassador to the United States Danny Ayalon about the assassination of Iranian General Qassem Soleimani. He discusses Netanyahu’s statements to cabinet calling his assassination a purely American event and urging Israeli ministers to stay out of the conflict, as well as Soleimani reportedly carrying an Iranian answer to the Saudi peace initiative, why Trump notified Netanyahu before the assassination but did not tell other US allies, and more! Next, we speak to Iraqi MP Saad al-Muttalibi about the Iraqi parliament’s decision to expel US and other foreign forces from Iraq. He discusses the process by which Iraq will expel foreign forces, why the assassination of Hashd Al-Shaabi’s (PMF) Deputy Chief Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis is an outrage considering his role in defeating ISIS, the unacceptable US response to his assassination, and the revelation that Soleimani was due to meet Iraqi PM Adil Abdul Mahdi to discuss Saudi Arabia’s proposal for peace between the Middle Eastern rivals. Finally, we speak to Geoffrey Robertson QC to discuss his new book ‘Who Owns History,’ which explores the history of imperial powers stealing and keeping cultural monuments and treasures. He also discusses Donald Trump’s threat to target Iranian cultural sites, for which he calls the US president a barbarian, and suggests that US generals will likely disobey Trump’s order to avoid being prosecuted for war crimes."  https://www.rt.com/shows/going-underground/477706-israeli-ambassador-soleimani-assassination/?fbclid=IwAR0ch-7GD3AYhIOGZYEZkhATOCtwMCjXbeZUwg9kCrjCnZ5lsg-3PmObLVc

Days after the assassination of General Qasem Soleimani, new and important information is coming to light from a speech given by the Iraqi prime minister. The story behind Soleimani’s assassination seems to go much deeper than what has thus far been reported, involving Saudi Arabia and China as well the U.S. dollar’s role as the global reserve currency.
The Iraqi prime minister, Adil Abdul-Mahdi, has revealed details of his interactions with Trump in the weeks leading up to Soleimani’s assassination in a speech to the Iraqi parliament. He tried to explain several times on live television how Washington had been browbeating him and other Iraqi members of parliament to toe the American line, even threatening to engage in false-flag sniper shootings of both protesters and security personnel in order to inflame the situation, recalling similar modi operandi seen in Cairo in 2009, Libya in 2011, and Maidan in 2014. The purpose of such cynicism was to throw Iraq into chaos.  https://www.strategic-culture.org/news/2020/01/08/the-deeper-story-behind-the-assassination-of-soleimani/?fbclid=IwAR0WATCZwhGRhlxG96ETK-9mEsW9onBNjgZnt3d3BFSrenRO-e0lpiJ5z8w

"The Iraqi prime minister, Adil Abdul-Mahdi, has revealed details of his interactions with Trump in the weeks leading up to Soleimani’s assassination in a speech to the Iraqi parliament.
Here is the reconstruction of the story:
[Speaker of the Council of Representatives of Iraq] Halbousi attended the parliamentary session while almost none of the Sunni members did. This was because the Americans had learned that Abdul-Mehdi was planning to reveal sensitive secrets in the session and sent Halbousi to prevent this. Halbousi cut Abdul-Mehdi off at the commencement of his speech and then asked for the live airing of the session to be stopped. After this, Halbousi together with other members, sat next to Abdul-Mehdi, speaking openly with him but without it being recorded. This is what was discussed in that session that was not broadcast:
Abdul-Mehdi spoke angrily about how the Americans had ruined the country and now refused to complete infrastructure and electricity grid projects unless they were promised 50% of oil revenues, which Abdul-Mehdi refused.
The complete (translated) words of Abdul-Mahdi’s speech to parliament:
This is why I visited China and signed an important agreement with them to undertake the construction instead. Upon my return, Trump called me to ask me to reject this agreement. When I refused, he threatened to unleash huge demonstrations against me that would end my premiership.
Huge demonstrations against me duly materialized and Trump called again to threaten that if I did not comply with his demands, then he would have Marine snipers on tall buildings target protesters and security personnel alike in order to pressure me.
I refused again and handed in my resignation. To this day the Americans insist on us rescinding our deal with the Chinese.
After this, when our Minister of Defense publicly stated that a third party was targeting both protestors and security personnel alike (just as Trump had threatened he would do), I received a new call from Trump threatening to kill both me and the Minister of Defense if we kept on talking about this “third party”.
Nobody imagined that the threat was to be applied to General Soleimani, but it was difficult for Prime Minister Adil Abdul-Mahdi to reveal the weekslong backstory behind the terrorist attack.
I was supposed to meet him [Soleimani] later in the morning when he was killed. He came to deliver a message from Iran in response to the message we had delivered to the Iranians from the Saudis.
We can surmise, judging by Saudi Arabia’s reaction, that some kind of negotiation was going on between Tehran and Riyadh:
The Kingdom’s statement regarding the events in Iraq stresses the Kingdom’s view of the importance of de-escalation to save the countries of the region and their people from the risks of any escalation.
Above all, the Saudi Royal family wanted to let people know immediately that they had not been informed of the US operation:
The kingdom of Saudi Arabia was not consulted regarding the US strike. In light of the rapid developments, the Kingdom stresses the importance of exercising restraint to guard against all acts that may lead to escalation, with severe consequences.
And to emphasize his reluctance for war, Mohammad bin Salman sent a delegation to the United States. Liz Sly, the Washington Post Beirut bureau chief, tweated:
Saudi Arabia is sending a delegation to Washington to urge restraint with Iran on behalf of [Persian] Gulf states. The message will be: ‘Please spare us the pain of going through another war’.
What clearly emerges is that the success of the operation against Soleimani had nothing to do with the intelligence gathering of the US or Israel. It was known to all and sundry that Soleimani was heading to Baghdad in a diplomatic capacity that acknowledged Iraq’s efforts to mediate a solution to the regional crisis with Saudi Arabia.
It would seem that the Saudis, Iranians and Iraqis were well on the way towards averting a regional conflict involving Syria, Iraq and Yemen. Riyadh’s reaction to the American strike evinced no public joy or celebration. Qatar, while not seeing eye to eye with Riyadh on many issues, also immediately expressed solidarity with Tehran, hosting a meeting at a senior government level with Mohammad Zarif Jarif, the Iranian foreign minister. Even Turkey and Egypt, when commenting on the asassination, employed moderating language."
(...)
"The assassination of Soleimani is the US lashing out at its steady loss of influence in the region. The Iraqi attempt to mediate a lasting peace between Iran and Saudi Arabia has been scuppered by the US and Israel’s determination to prevent peace in the region and instead increase chaos and instability.
Washington has not achieved its hegemonic status through a preference for diplomacy and calm dialogue, and Trump has no intention of departing from this approach.
Washington’s friends and enemies alike must acknowledge this reality and implement the countermeasures necessary to contain the madness."

Don DeBar  Of course, none of us knows yet what caused the plane crash in Tehran yesterday.
But the plane went down over Tehran - that's in Iran, FYI - and Iran denies that it was shot down. It was departing Tehran Imam Khomeini Airport when it developed trouble. Shooting down a plane with a missile over a large city coming out of an international airport leaves a footprint larger than Bigfoot's - thousands of witnesses, hundreds of cell phone videos, radar and other electronic air traffic data, etc. Surely we'd have SOME of this evidence by
Barry Grossman It makes no sense to claim Iran downed the plane, be it intentionally or by accident. That corporate media outelts and even Canada's PM are making the allegation without clear evidence only shows how biased and loat in propaganda they are. On the other hand, if it turns out that the plane was taken down, my first inclination would be to look at the US enabled terror group MEK and other US proxies.
Barry Grossman Standard investigative procedure dictates that when a disaster is suspected of having in fact been a crime, anyone with an established history of committing that kind of crime, who had the motive, means, and opportunity to have done so again, be considered the primary suspect.

Lie by Lie: A Timeline of How We Got Into Iraq At a congressional hearing examining the march to war in Iraq, Republican congressman Walter Jones posed “a very simple question” about the administration’s manipulation of intelligence: “How could the professionals see what was happening and nobody speak out?”
Colonel Lawrence Wilkerson, Colin Powell’s former chief of staff, responded with an equally simple answer: “The vice president.”
But the blame for Iraq does not end with Cheney, Bush, or Rumsfeld. Nor is it limited to the intelligence operatives who sat silent as the administration cherry-picked its case for war, or with those, like Colin Powell or Hans Blix, who, in the name of loyalty or statesmanship, did not give full throat to their misgivings. It is also shared by far too many in the Fourth Estate, most notably the New York Times‘ Judith Miller. But let us not forget that it lies, inescapably, with we the American people, who, in our fear and rage over the catastrophic events of September 11, 2001, allowed ourselves to be suckered into the most audacious bait and switch of all time. https://www.motherjones.com/politics/2011/12/leadup-iraq-war-timeline/

Did Iran Kill 600 Americans in Iraq War II? No.
ByScott HortonJanuary 5, 2020
Due to the current ubiquity of claims that Iran killed 600 Americans in Iraq War II, I figured it might be worth bringing up the fact that that is a complete and damnable lie.
In the case of Petraeus’s surge against Sadrist forces in Sadr City and Najaf in 2007 and 2008, Sadr was the least Iranian-loyal of all the major Shi’ite factions. The U.S.’s favorites from Dawa and SCIRI were also Iran’s favorites. Sadr wanted the U.S. and Iran both out. (At a couple of points the U.S. chased Sadr into Iran, but that was a self-fulfilling blunder, not proof they were right about him.)
When Petraeus attacked them they responded, not the other way around. (Danny Sjursen was in East Baghdad at that time and confirmed this to me in an interview just a few weeks ago.)
And when they did respond with copper-core EFP bombs, they were made in Iraq by Iraqis. Despite all of Michael Gordon’s claims in the New York Times back then, and all the claims since, no one has ever demonstrated that these bombs came from Iran at all, much less directly from the Qods force.

Iran’s Foreign Minister Ali Rabiei responded to US, British and Canadian assertions of “secret evidence” by inviting all countries who have lost citizens in the disaster to come to Tehran in order to investigate the black box (which they rightfully refused to hand over to US officials). Rabiei stated on Thursday: “All these reports are a psychological warfare against Iran. All those countries whose citizens were aboard the plane can send representatives and we urge Boeing to send its representative to join the process of investigating the black box.”
Iran stated that all evidence gathered should be “published and publicized to the world.” ~ * January 10, 2020 ~

Canadian PM Steps Into The Mud Of Slander Blaming Iran For Boeing Crash

Iran's Foreign Minister Calls out Bluff   Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s recent claim that Ukraine’s flight PS752 was shot down by Iranian rockets according to “secret intelligence” has provoked the Iranian government to respond by calling out the bluff which has spread like wildfire in the recent 48 hours.
On Wednesday, Trudeau stated“We have intelligence from multiple sources, including our allies and our own intelligence. The evidence indicates that the plane was shot down by an Iranian surface-to-air missile. This may well have been unintentional.” Canadians represented 63 of the 176 victims who died in the crash and so the words of the Canadian government obviously carries more emotional weight than other nations in this matter.  https://www.fort-russ.com/2020/01/canadian-pm-steps-into-the-mud-of-slander-blaming-iran-for-boeing-crash/

Iran urges all parties involved to contribute to Ukrainian plane crash probe Iran has urged all parties involved, including American multinational aviation corporation Boeing, to contribute to a probe into a Ukrainian plane crash near the capital Tehran that killed all 176 people aboard.
“According to international regulations, representatives from the civil aviation agency of the country where the crash has taken place (Iran), the civil aviation agency of the country which has issued the airworthiness certificate (Ukraine), the owner of the airliner (Ukraine International Airlines), the aircraft manufacturer (Boeing Co.), and the jet engine manufacturer (CFM International) can participate in the investigation process. America Escalates its “Democratic” Oil War in the Near East

The mainstream media are carefully sidestepping the method behind America’s seeming madness in assassinating Islamic Revolutionary Guard general Qassim Suleimani to start the New Year. The logic behind the assassination this was a long-standing application of U.S. global policy, not just a personality quirk of Donald Trump’s impulsive action. His assassination of Iranian military leader Suleimani was indeed a unilateral act of war in violation of international law, but it was a logical step in a long-standing U.S. strategy. It was explicitly authorized by the Senate in the funding bill for the Pentagon that it passed last year.https://thesaker.is/america-escalates-its-democratic-oil-war-in-the-near-east/?fbclid=IwAR0-drTvlhl0SwaspNy3iX8_UcwBK44IL8W509CHq6a966bmpSmd46_qKW0

"all us presidents are" captive of the military industrial complex
The Military Industrial Complex is the basis of the American economy. Companies Like Boeing and they couldn't survive without massive spending in U.S. defense. They need perpetual wars to sell their products and profit from a corrupt military shopping system ", said the analyst.
" in a similar way, the American media is controlled by a small collusion of large multimedia conglomerate that represent the interests of American companies and their political servants. It is not by chance that the anchor of news shows on networks and cable continuously interview the same former military leaders, FBI and CIA agents and former government employees day after day ", he observed.
" it should be obvious that neither trump nor any other us politician, regardless of his rhetorical, is in a position to challenge the powers that exist. Whether or not they may initially be sincere in their warnings against foreign confusion, it is irrelevant, they will all follow the same interventionist policy that is inherent in the us political economy Only with the dismantling and socio-economic transformation of the military industrial complex and other capitalist industrial complex into forces that meet the interests of the American people and the whole world will us war policy come to an end ", concluded etler."https://www.presstv.com/Detail/2019/12/31/614996/%E2%80%98Every-US-president-talks-peace-and-wages-war%E2%80%99:-Scholar?fbclid=IwAR3R0We1vbrgmkBesEICPPKVLEmtVAL-P_nIBzbeIK1Vhm3uZUatQ7zmdcI

The USA is now at war, de-facto and de-jure, with BOTH Iraq and Iran (UPDATED 6X)The blowback has begun

First, let’s begin by a quick summary of what has taken place (note: this info is still coming in, so there might be corrections once the official sources make their official statements).
1.     Iraqi Prime Minister Adil Abdl Mahdi has now officially revealed that the US had asked him to mediate between the US and Iran and that General Qassem Soleimani to come and talk to him and give him the answer to his mediation efforts.  Thus, Soleimani was on an OFFICIAL DIPLOMATIC MISSION as part of a diplomatic initiative INITIATED BY THE USA.
2.     The Iraqi Parliament has now voted on a resolution requiring the government to press Washington and its allies to withdraw their troops from Iraq.
3.     Iraq’s caretaker PM Adil Abdul Mahdi said the American side notified the Iraqi military about the planned airstrike minutes before it was carried out. He stressed that his government denied Washington permission to continue with the operation.
4.     The Iraqi Parliament has also demanded that the Iraqi government must “work to end the presence of any foreign troops on Iraqi soil and prohibit them from using its land, airspace or water for any reason
5.     The Iraqi Foreign Ministry said that Baghdad had turned to the UN Security Council with complaints about US violations of its sovereignty.
6.     Iraqi cleric Moqtada al-Sadr said the parliamentary resolution to end foreign troop presence in the country did not go far enough, calling on local and foreign militia groups to unite.  I also have confirmation that the Mehdi Army is being re-mobilized.
7.     The Pentagon brass is now laying the responsibility for this monumental disaster on Trump (see here).  The are now slowly waking up to this immense clusterbleep and don’t want to be held responsible for what is coming next.
8.     For the first time in the history of Iran, a Red Flag was hoisted over the Holy Dome Of Jamkaran Mosque, Iran.  This indicates that the blood of martyrs has been spilled and that a major battle will now happen.  The text in the flag says “Oh Hussein we ask for your help” (unofficial translation 1) or “Rise up and avenge al-Husayn” (unofficial translation 2)
9.     The US has announced the deployment of 3’000 soldiers from the 82nd Airborne to Kuwait.
10. Finally, the Idiot-in-Chief tweeted the following message, probably to try to reassure his freaked out supporters: “The United States just spent Two Trillion Dollars on Military Equipment. We are the biggest and by far the BEST in the World! If Iran attacks an American Base, or any American, we will be sending some of that brand new beautiful equipment their way…and without hesitation!“.  Apparently, he still thinks that criminally overspending for 2nd rate military hardware is going to yield victory…

Iranian MPs declare all of US military ‘terrorist entity’ after General Soleimani killingThe US Armed Forces are now regarded as a terrorist organization under an urgent motion by Iranian lawmakers, who earlier branded the assassination of the Quds Force commander “state-sponsored terrorism,” state media report.
Iranian MPs adopted a bill on Tuesday calling “personnel of the Pentagon, all affiliated companies, institutions, agents and commanders” members of a “terrorist entity,”local media reported.
The bill amends and expands previous legislation which gave a similar designation to US Central Command (CENTCOM). 1.     the unlawful use of violence and intimidation, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political aims.
"the fight against terrorism"The issue of War Crimes emerged after World War I at the Versailles Conference, but it was not until the end of World War II that a more comprehensive definition of what constitutes war crimes was developed. First among new international conventions addressing war crimes was the 1950 Charter of the Nuremberg Tribunal. Its fundamental premise was that the conduct of war in violation of international treaties was a crime against peace. Ill treatment of prisoners of war, killing hostages, plunder of public or private property, wanton destruction of cities, towns, or villages was a war crime. Crimes against humanity include murder, extermination, deportation, and prosecution based on political, racial or religious grounds.
The 1949 Geneva Convention gave recognition to the development of new technologies which exposed civilian life to greater threats of destruction. A 1977 addendum further emphasized the right of civilians to be protected against military operations. This included the protection of civilians against starvation as a method of warfare. Article II of the Geneva Convention addressed the issue of genocide, defined as killing or causing serious bodily harm to individuals based on their nationality, ethnic, racial or religious group and with the intent to destroy that group.
Since the Geneva Convention, a number of other significant international treaties addressing war and human rights have been drafted, but the United States has rejected almost all of them. Among the treaties that the United States has refused to sign are the International Convention on Civil and Political Rights (1966); the Convention on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (1966); the Convention on the Elimination of all forms of Racial Discrimination (1966), and the American Convention on Human Rights (1965). The Israelis have recently increased the construction of illegal settlements in the West Bank and Jerusalem. They also increased the land-grab policy, taking advantage of the US support to the Israeli illegal settlement.

“ All wars and related hostile actions are unjustifiably justified by Big Lies and deception.
Iranian IRGC Quds Force commander Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani was a redoubtable figure.
Widely respected in Iran and abroad, he was a key strategist in pursuing regional peace and stability — free from the scourge of US-supported terrorists and the curse of its imperial occupation.
General Soleimani’s assassination last Friday by the Trump regime was an act of war on Iraq where he was killed and on Iran where he served for decades with courage, dedication, and distinction — from US-orchestrated Iraqi aggression on Iran in the 1980s until his US state-sponsored murder.
Trump falsely claimed he “killed or badly wounded thousands of Americans over an extended period of time, and was plotting to kill many more (sic),” adding:
“He was directly and indirectly responsible for the death of millions of people (sic)” — an astonishing Big Lie even by his dissembling standards.
As US commander-in-chief, the dubious distinction applies to him. His regime and congressional accomplices share blame for endless preemptive wars on nonthreatening nations — a flagrant UN Charter violation.
Iran hasn’t attacked another country in centuries! The Islamic Republic seeks regional peace and cooperation with other nations.
Trump falsely accused Soleimani of “plotting imminent and sinister attacks on American diplomats and military personnel (sic), but we caught him in the act (sic) and terminated him.”
No evidence was cited because none exists, no “imminent…sinister attacks” on US civilian and military personnel planned. Trump lied claiming otherwise.
He falsely accused Soleimani of “target(ing), injur(ing), and murder(ing) hundreds of American civilians and servicemen.”
Evangelical Christian fascist Mike Pence falsely accused Soleimani of “assist(ing) in the clandestine travel of 10 of 12 terrorists who carried out the September 11 terrorist attacks.”
Allegedly 19, not 12, individuals were involved in the 9/11 mother of all false flag attacks — wrongfully blamed on Osama bin Laden and “crazed Arabs.” It was carried out by the CIA and Mossad.
No Islamic Republic officials have been involved in terrorist attacks anywhere — a US, NATO, Israeli specialty, not how Iran operates.
Trump’s ordered killing of Soleimani was a strategic blunder, dark forces in Washington convincing him to act unlawfully and imprudently.
Lebanese Al Mayadeen television director Ghassan bin Jiddo called Soleimani a “brave leader.”
Millions of Iranians, countless others in regional countries and elsewhere mourn his loss, enraged over US state-sponsored murder — a CIA/Pentagon specialty.
Assassination elevated Soleimani to martyrdom status, larger than life in death than while alive.
He rose to prominence from humble roots, becoming one of Iran’s most revered figures.
Former CIA officer John Maguire called him “the single most powerful operative in the Middle East” — on the side of the angels against the scourge of imperial wars, he omitted.
Following Iran’s 1979 Islamic Revolution, ending a generation of US-installed tyranny, he joined the newly founded Islamic Revolution Guards Corp (IRGC).
As a battlefield commander during US-sponsored Iraqi aggression on Iran in the 1980s, he led the 41st Sarallah Division.
In 1997, he was appointed to lead Iran’s elite Quds Force, an Iranian intelligence analyst, explaining that it was largely unknown until Bush/Cheney’s 2003 aggression against Iraq.
Dangers to Iran posed by what happened “compelled (Tehran) to intervene for strategic reasons,” he said, giving Soleimani a chance “to exhibit his asymmetric war leadership capabilities.”
In 2019, he became the first Islamic Republic military commander to be awarded the “Order of Zulfaqar,” named after Imam Ali (PUBH), one of Islam’s most revered figures.
Ayatollah Ali Khamenei called “Hajj Qassem” a “living martyr” of the revolution, in death saying:
He came “close to martyrdom repeatedly, but in performing his duty and fighting for the cause of God, he had no fear of anyone or anything.”
He served the Islamic Republic with courage, honor, and devotion to his homeland as a “sincere and exalted fighter” — perishing at the hands of “the world’s most villainous individuals.”
Iranian Foreign Minister Zarif expressed “special respect” for Soleimani, adding:
For over “20 years (they) closely collaborated to advance the objectives of the Islamic Republic in finding political and peaceful solutions.”
Soleimani was a warrior for peace, for protecting Iran and its people, aiding Syrian President Bashar al-Assad combat the scourge of US-supported terrorism — in an advisory role.
Iranian forces in the country aren’t involved in combat, operating from Syrian facilities, not their own, their same role in Iraq when Iran has no bases of its own.
Iran supports regional peace, stability, and mutual cooperation with other countries.
It’s against the scourge of US imperialism, an enemy of its jihadist foot soldiers.
It stands tall for preserving the sovereignty and territorial integrity of nations on the US target list for regime change.
IRGC General Jafar Assadi said Soleimani convinced Vladimir Putin to intervene in Syria against the US-supported terrorist threat to its sovereign independence.
He played a lead strategic role in smashing the scourge of ISIS in Iraq and Syria.
Mourned by millions in Iran and abroad, he’s sorely missed.”

Meet the Corporate War Profiteers Making a Killing on Trump's Attacks on Iran
As long as the top executives of our privatized war economy can reap unlimited rewards, the profit motive for war in Iran—or anywhere—will persist. CEOs of major U.S. military contractors stand to reap huge windfalls from the escalation of conflict with Iran. This was evident in the immediate aftermath of the U.S. assassination of a top Iranian military official last week. As soon as the news reached financial markets, these companies’ share prices spiked, inflating the value of their executives’ stock-based pay.
I took a look at how the CEOs at the top five Pentagon contractors were affected by this surge, using the most recent SEC information on their stock holdings.
Northrop Grumman executives saw the biggest increase in the value of their stocks after the U.S. airstrike that killed Qasem Suleimani on January 2. Shares in the B-2 bomber maker rose 5.43 percent by the end of trading the following

Iran Evaluating 13 Retaliation Scenarios To Inflict “Historic Nightmare” On US Activist Post Editor’s Note: We’ve posted a couple of articles about Trump’s declaration that he would hit Iranian cultural sites; we’ve noted that it clearly would constitute a war crime. In the name of consistency, if the following translations are accurate, the targeting of American cultural sites — if that is what is meant by “set ablaze those places Americans hold dear” — would also be a war crime. De-escalation would be a wise idea right about now.

Breaking a 5-day silence over its response for the US killing of General Qassem Soleimani, on Tuesday Iran said it was assessing 13 scenarios to inflict a “historic nightmare” on the US. “Even if the weakest of these scenarios gain a consensus, its implementation can be a historic nightmare for the Americans,” Ali Shamkhani, the head of Iran’s national security council, was cited by Fars news agency, adding that, “For now, for intelligence reasons, we cannot provide more information to the media.”
Iranian officials previously said that U.S. forces in the region will be targets, and overnight the Iranian parliament on Tuesday designated the Pentagon and affiliated companies as terrorists. In response, the U.S. issued a warning to shipping in the Middle East over the possibility of Iranian action against U.S. maritime interests, the Associated Press reported, citing a statement. https://www.activistpost.com/2020/01/iran-evaluating-13-retaliation-scenarios-to-inflict-historic-nightmare-on-us.html
